5/22/09 - Things around the Erik Karlsson studio have the smell of a new CD lately. Its similar to that new car smell, but more musical. The cover is right over there to the left - and the CD is now on CD Baby, iTunes and a number of other digital music distribution systems. New year...must update web site...oh - hi! Not much changing in my musical world, except that I'm playing more places than ever in the next 6 months, so if you've been hoping to come see me, but you haven't had a chance to match up with my schedule, I'm playing all over the KC area. I'll be doing shows on my own, doing shows with friends, and who knows what else. Can you tell I'm excited? So head on over to the Calendar page and check to see if you have some dates free to come out and listen.

I'm on the radio! Ok...its NET radio, but radio nonetheless. Check out www.kccafe.net in order to hear an interesting mix of KC artists on this web radio station. It takes a little getting used to - not having a program style since you'll hear rock, country, folk and just about anything else on this station as long as the musicians have a tie-in with Kansas City. Eventually, the eclectic mix makes for fun listening. Be sure to request my tunes from the request page.

Also of note, I have rejoined the band 7 Mysteries as their rhythm guitarist once more. Events in my life have changed enough that I knew I could dedicate the time to it again. So I'm rock/popping out with them once more. Hopefully, we'll soon have some shows where everyone can come out and see us.
