Erik Karlsson is a performer and songwriter from the Austin, TX area. He plays with the band The Wooly Vicars, appears with the Austin musician's collective Öld Phükkerz, and is the creative force behind Crash Freeway and the Stick Shifts. He coaches bands with Heather Webb's Jam Room and offers adult guitar lessons and other types of workshops.
Erik began playing guitar at the age of 8, performed regionally in the Midwest as a solo singer-songwriter, and has played rhythm guitar in a number of bands through the years. He produced and recorded a number of albums under his own name, another for the Wooly Vicars, and co-produced an album by the early 90's Houston band The Plastic Yardbirds.
